Aufgaben
We are looking for a hands-on mechatronics technician with a genuine passion for robotics, automation and modern technology. The person will support the assembly, commissioning and service of robotic systems and combine mechanical understanding with electrical reliability, structured troubleshooting and a strong practical mindset.
Willingness to travel, technical curiosity and enthusiasm for getting systems running directly at customer sites are essential. Experience with Python, AI and new technologies is an advantage, but not mandatory. What matters most is willingness to learn, reliability and a clear affinity for robotics and automation.
In this role, the mechatronics technician works on modern robotic and automation systems - from assembly and electrical/mechanical commissioning through to troubleshooting at customer sites. In addition to classic mechatronics tasks, the person should be open to digital tools and new technologies. Knowledge of Python, AI applications or data-based diagnostic and automation solutions is explicitly welcome, but not a prerequisite.
Qualifikation
Main Responsibilities
Mechanical and electrical assembly of robotic and automation systems
Commissioning of robotic cells, grippers, conveyor technology, sensors and pneumatics
Wiring, testing and troubleshooting of electrical and mechatronic components
Carrying out functional tests, safety checks and customer demos
Supporting FAT/SAT, installations, final acceptances and training sessions
Analyzing and resolving faults on site or remotely
Adapting and optimizing existing systems in mechanical, electrical and process-related areas
Documenting service assignments, test results, changes and open points
Working closely with project management, design, software, suppliers and customers
Contributing to the further development of service, diagnostic and automation solutions, also using modern digital tools
Technical Profile
Completed vocational training as a mechatronics technician, electronics technician for automation technology, industrial mechanic with electrical knowledge, or comparable qualification
Experience in mechanical engineering, special-purpose machinery, plant engineering, service or automation technology
Good understanding of mechanics, electrical engineering, pneumatics and industrial components
Confident handling of circuit diagrams, technical drawings and technical documentation
Experience with sensors, actuators, gripper technology, conveyor technology and safety technology is an advantage
Basic understanding of PLCs, safety PLCs and industrial networks is desirable
Experience with robotic systems or strong motivation to develop deep expertise in robotics
Knowledge of Python, AI, data analysis, smart diagnostic tools or new technologies is an advantage, but not mandatory
Experience with robot systems such as UR, FANUC, ABB, KUKA, Doosan or comparable systems is a plus

Strong willingness to travel and enjoyment of assignments directly at customer sites
Genuine enthusiasm for robots, automation and modern technologies
Hands-on mindset and willingness to solve problems practically
Structured, clean and reliable way of working

Strong communication skills when dealing with customers, partners and internal teams
Willingness to take responsibility on construction sites, during commissioning and in service
Must-have Requirements
Training or solid practical experience in mechatronics, electrical engineering or automation
Experience in assembly, service, commissioning or technical troubleshooting
Good mechanical and electrical understanding
Willingness to travel regularly, including multi-day assignments
Hands-on mentality and independent way of working
Class B driving licence
Fluent German; English at least basic to good
Nice-to-have
Experience with robotic cells, palletizing systems or special-purpose machinery
Knowledge of machine safety, safety PLCs or safety components
Experience with UR, FANUC, ABB, KUKA, Doosan or similar robot systems
Knowledge of PLC diagnostics or basic programming
Basic Python knowledge or interest in scripting and automation
Experience or interest in AI tools, machine vision, data evaluation or modern diagnostic methods
Openness to new technologies and digital tools in service and commissioning environments
Experience in international service or technical customer assignments
